Our client is one of Ireland’s most exciting PLCs. This is an opportunity to work across IR and Corporate M&A. As a member of the growing Corporate Development & Investor Relations team, you will be playing a crucial role in the execution of M&A across all divisions on a global scale. You will have exceptional relationship building skills, be comfortable working with c-suite on a daily basis and understand complex business outcomes, both financially and strategically.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting transaction processes from beginning to end including origination, appraisal, valuation, negotiations, due diligence, and post-closing actions
  • Identification of potential M&A targets by leveraging multiple streams
  • Perform initial screening / due diligence on target companies
  • Responsible for building financial models and analyzing the viability of propositions
  • Conduct detailed commercial and financial reviews of target’s trading and financial performance
  • Preparation and production of all investor relations materials for the company’s interim and full year results
  • Financial modelling, analysis and maintenance of consensus forecast / sell-side analyst financial models
  • Managing proactive relationships with sell-side analysts covering the company
  • Establishing new and building on relationships with existing investors
  • Competitive intelligence including monitoring financial performance and news flow of industry peers in addition to key industry trends

Requirements

  • Third level qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Scientific, or a related discipline
  • Relevant finance professional qualification a plus but not necessary (i.e. CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, MSc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant industry role (Corporate Development / Corporate Finance / M&A / Investor Relations / Advisory)
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and project management skills
