The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies and architectures, coupled with a successful track record in implementing cloud solutions across different environments. In the role of Senior Cloud Consultant, you will be tasked with designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based systems and services for our clients, ensuring they meet business objectives and adhere to best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, across various cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, M365 and VMware)
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and constraints, providing strategic cloud adoption and migration advice
- Develop and document cloud architecture frameworks and best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Conduct cloud readiness assessments and design tailored cloud migration strategies
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and other team members
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance
- Help pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g. VMware VCP/VCAP/VCDX, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget
