Accpro is thrilled to collaborate with a prestigious state organization, filling numerous vital IT roles within their expanding IT Division. Reporting to the Security and Technology Department, these roles play an integral part in supporting a vibrant department serving over 4,000 IT users across 200 sites.
Position Overview:
As a Security Architect, you will spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive security architectures, strategies, and frameworks to safeguard the organization’s information assets, infrastructure, and digital footprint, particularly focusing on Microsoft Azure. You will play a pivotal role in designing and architecting security solutions aligned with organizational requirements, ensuring adherence to security standards and policies throughout various projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures, strategies, and frameworks to protect organizational assets, infrastructure, and digital footprint, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
- Design and architect security solutions, providing input to and reviewing project artifacts such as High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Change Requests, and Acceptance into Service Artefacts.
- Oversee collaborators’ activities to ensure compliance with security standards and policies within projects.
- Conduct internal security assessments and develop technical responses to penetration tests, third-party security assessments, and vulnerability scan findings.
- Provide technical input into incident response plans, outlining procedures and protocols for cybersecurity incidents.
- Serve on the panel for managing and responding to major cybersecurity incidents, collaborating with the incident response team to contain, mitigate damage, and restore operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity architecture.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure/Cloud-Security certifications.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, including MSP & SOC.
- Extensive experience in leading Security Architecture.
- Strong understanding of IT security risks and familiarity with the NIST framework.
- Proficient in security processes and services.
- Strong technical background in cybersecurity.
- Experience developing and implementing incident response plans.
