Our client is a leading reinsurance company looking to recruit a Junior Reinsurance Accountant to join their growing finance team. The successful candidate will report to the Reinsurance Manager and will be involved in technical accounting, bordereau reporting and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Verify underwriting data.
- Ensure accuracy of premium details, adjustments, and cash allocations.
- Manage quota share programs, including bordereau reporting and claims payments.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Communicate with brokers and underwriters to resolve queries.
- Complete monthly underwriting system close.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in insurance or reinsurance.
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of reinsurance contracts, reserving, and settlements is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
