Our client, a leading global retailer, is seeking to welcome a HR Manager to join their expanding team. Based on-site in Cork City, the successful candidate will oversee the people function alongside continued company growth. This is a broad HR role that allows the individual to carry out effective HR Management in a vibrant, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in leadership from a retail background, with commitment to the people-focused profession e.g. CIPD qualified.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end recruitment for retail staff
  • Implement a culture of learning through training, self development and engagement
  • Collaborate with Store Manager on wage budget, allocation and reporting
  • Coach senior management team on performance management and process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, in line with relevant employment legislation, GDPR and health and safety
  • Carry out relevant investigations and disciplinaries should they arise as part of effective ER
  • Ensure payroll and time & attendance functions are carried out in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management role (essential)
  • Background in retail sector (essential)
  • 2-3 HR/Recruitment experience with CIPD qualification
  • Experience with Trade Unions highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
