One of the world’s most successful and acquisitive PLCs is recruiting for a Group Internal Auditor. This is a unique opportunity whereby the successful candidate will gain a 360 view of this global business before getting the opportunity to move on to other areas of the Group. This kind of progression is commonplace within the Group, setting them apart from other companies. Previous members of the IA team have assumed lead finance positions across Ireland, North America, the UAE and the UK. Most have progressed to these roles as senior stakeholders within 2 years of joining or with c.18 months PQE.
For many, the travel element of this role is its biggest selling point as the team visits the USA, UK and Europe. When not travelling, the team can work from home rather than being based in an office. Please note that a European passport is required for this position due to the nature of travel associated.
Responsibilities
- Plans, executes and reports on audits / reviews assigned by the Group Head of Internal Audit.
- Interprets policy and procedures and applies professional accounting, IT and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate financial, IT, operational and risk management controls.
- Develops recommendations which have been agreed with management ensuring that the recommendations are realistic and achievable and cost effective and add value to the business.
Requirements
The candidate will either be working as an auditor in a Big 4 firm with manufacturing/construction clients or as part of the IA function of a manufacturing/construction company.
