I’m working with a leading City Centre based media/tech company to recruit a Financial Controller for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have qualified experience at the senior finance level and the ability to drive the finance function of a high growth and fast-paced organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO. Salary c. €90 basic plus bonus, healthcare, pension, gym membership
Responsibilities
- Management of day-to-day finance and accounting operations
- Leading and supervising junior staff
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close process for Group
- Ownership of financial systems, processes and controls, focusing on continuous improvement
- Liaising with commercial finance team on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
- Manage cash flow and treasury activities
- Lead the preparation of annual financial statements
- Responsible for ensuring all statutory, tax and other compliance returns are completed on time
- Manage the annual entity-level controls SOX program
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in technology or media space
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and FRS102
- Experience in developing and implementing scalable value add systems, processes and controls
- Team management experience
- Strong interpretative and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and provide a professional, objective and independent view
