Our client, a global insurance/reinsurance company is seeking to welcome a Financial Accountant to their team. This is a newly established position within the Financial Reporting team. This position will assist the Financial Reporting Manager and the broader team in executing day-to-day activities related to insurance accounting and reporting, as well as contribute to essential projects crucial for delivering high-quality financial services in a growing environment.


• Support the quarterly close timetable and production of quarterly class level and consolidated management information (P&L and Balance Sheet).

• Posting and reconciliation of technical insurance information.

• Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy.

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting and financial controls across the Company.

• Preparation of annual Financial Statements under Irish GAAP (FRS 102/103).

• Preparation of quarterly and annual Solvency II returns to the CBI and PRA.

• Completion of ad hoc regulatory returns across European branches.

• Provide support on various Financial Control & Reporting team projects as required.


· Reinsurance/Insurance experience

· Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)

· 3/4 years PQE

· Knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS

· Excellent IT skills (Excel)

· Strong communication skills

· Highly organised
