My client is a global insurance/reinsurance organisation based in Dublin City. They are seeking a qualified accountant to join their Finance Team on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for preparation and submission of treaty reinsurance reporting, including facultative treaty
• Responsible for insurance premium tax (“IPT”) submissions and payments
• Preparation/review of VAT/VIES returns
• Completion of quarterly/annual statistical reporting
• Preparation of weekly cash reports for treasury team
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and assist in the month-end accounting process
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls for the department
Other ad-hoc duties
Requirements
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
• Previous (re)/insurance industry is desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong level of attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
