ACCPRO is exclusively representing a rapidly growing Irish business in its search for a commercially-minded finance professional to sit as part of the senior leadership team and help steer the business through the next phase of growth. Following significant investment, this is a unique opportunity for a finance professional to gain exposure to business operations across multiple workstreams, including finance, business development, sales, IT and property.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to position the business as a global leader in its field and define a roadmap for the growth-to-exit strategy. This role requires a highly commercial, driven and analytical decision-maker who is confident in liaising with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders. There is scope to progress to CFO.

Responsibilities

FINANCE
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts to help guide and support strategic business decision-making
  • Ownership of payroll, AP and AR processes
  • Foster and drive a culture of continuous improvement in evaluating and optimising month-end close processes, AP/AR and GL processes, promoting increased efficiencies and improved accuracy within day-to-day activities

 

OPERATIONS & DEVELOPMENT

  • Serve as liaison between senior leadership, clients, employees and investors
  • Develop and implement business goals and targets
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and act as lead on any future funding rounds
  • Deliver effective solutions to support changing business operations and offerings
  • Drive the strategic planning process of the business through in-depth analysis and reporting

Requirements

  • A minimum third level degree in a relevant field e.g. business, finance, accounting
  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable but those QBE or part-qualified will be equally considered subject to meeting all other requirements
  • Experience working in a start-up or growth stage company is desirable
  • Highly effective communicator with ability to manage stakeholders, communicate strategy and potential growth opportunities to influence decision making
  • Driven and confident with an ‘all hands on deck’ approach to growing a business
