Our client, a leading insurance company based in Dublin City Centre, are looking for a highly analytical and motivated part-qualified Treasury Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideal candidates will be studying towards an accountancy qualification, and have some prior experience in a Treasury Finance position. Experience in the Insurance sector a distinct advantage.

 

Study support will be provided along with an attractive benefits package. Salary has been guided at c.€35,000.

Responsibilities

  • Complete processing of high volume multi-currency claim payments within agreed timescales as required
  • Create and produce weekly / monthly treasury analysis reports for management review
  • Review and reconcile payments returned and rejected by the bank
  • Produce and analyse monthly cash flow report
  • Ensure queries on payments are managed and answered in a timely fashion
  • Produce monthly reconciliations of payments and re-billings
  • Posting claims, inter-company, FX and other treasury related journals on the company GL
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for claims accounts
  • Preparation of MI reports for group, including monthly cash report and cash flow forecast
  • Treasury Analysis of FX exposures and bank charges
  • Other finance related projects as they arise over the short to medium term including system User Acceptance Testing
  • Manage the relationship with banking providers, signing mandates and online banking platforms
  • Liaise when necessary with internal and external auditors

Requirements

  •  Part Qualified / Finalist / Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of working in a treasury finance role
  • Strong and proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret and provide clear and concise analysis reports and commentary
  • Excellent IT skills are a must, with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Proven Reconciliation Skills and evidence of effective working
  • Oracle / Peoplesoft experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working on project teams and influencing results
  • Evidence of being able to work successfully in a fast moving and international environment with colleagues in remote locations
  • Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Experience at defining and implementing lean and efficient processes
  • Flexible, adaptable, ability to multitask and work to tight deadline
