My Client, a leading boutique firm of tax advisers are looking for a tax trainee to join their team. Working with a broad range of clients providing compliance and practical consultancy, the tax trainee will interact directly with clients, agencies and other service firms. In Addition, the successful candidate will be given full study support to complete the Irish Taxation Institute’s Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams.
This role would be an excellent opportunity for a college graduate completing a degree in Business, Law, Accountancy or Finance and looking to further their career in a leading Tax firm.
The position involves mainly tax compliance work initially, and over the 4 year training program you will gain practical experience across a range of tax heads with the option of developing consultancy skills as your tax technical knowledge develops. The training is tiered and progressive and the level of responsibility and exposure to more complex tax issues will increase as your skills develop. You will interact directly with clients, government agencies and other professional services firms. Continuous training and development will be offered as well as full support in undertaking the CTA exams. As a trainee, you will be mentored by senior staff who possess a wide range of skills and experience.
- Have or be anticipating a 2.1 honours degree, ideally in business or law (some taxation content would be an advantage)
- A high level of transferable skills such as problem solving, and the ability to analyse problems and implement solutions individually and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- An aptitude for numeracy (Leaving Cert higher level maths will be a distinct advantage)
