Our client, a leading financial services institution, are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a permanent role based in Dublin 1.
Ideal candidates will have 6+ years PQE, ideally within an banking environment. Salary has been guided at €75,00o including an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve reporting including monthly management reporting and related financial analysis for various committees
- Become an active and contributing member of the IFRS 9 implementation project team
- Responsible for the management and coordination of all internal audits and reviews, including interaction with auditors, QA and SOX teams and ensuring their requests are delivered in a timely manner
- Engage with corporate accounting policy to ensure all transactions are compliant under US GAAP
- Review and test internal controls and implement new robust controls if and when required
- Assist with the preparation and review of all US regulatory returns, including training junior members of the team, prepare/review of quarterly returns, identify and document risks and mitigation controls
Requirements
- Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with extensive post qualification experience
- Progressive track record of experience and achievement within the banking sector including extensive knowledge of banking products
- Excellent technical skills including a thorough working knowledge of accounting standards under both US GAAP and IFRS
- IFRS 9 experience
- Demonstrated capacity for working with minimal direction to deliver desired results
- Comprehensive experience with preparation and review of US regulatory returns desirable
- Team player with strong advocacy and interpersonal skills
