My client are a leading global pharmaceutical PLC who are currently recruiting for a Revenue Manager to join their South Dublin HQ on a permanent basis. 

This role will suit a qualified accountant who has prior experience in leading a team, with a constant drive for innovation, process and efficiency improvement. This role will lead a team of four revenue supervisors, and report into the Revenue Finance Director.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all a team of supervisors and their direct reports, instilling a strong customer centric, “can do” culture within the team
  • Responsible for design and establishment of appropriate interaction with all customers and stakeholders across the organization
  • Lead the design, implementation and future development, of a single global revenue team design across all business units and departments
  • Responsible for the maintenance of standardised global processes to recognise revenue in accordance with latest US GAAP & SEC requirements in compliance with the corporate reporting calendar
  • Delivery of accurate departmental and regional revenue data in accordance with the corporate timetable together with a comprehensive analysis for efficient senior  management review
  • Calculation and completion of forecasted revenue by department and in accordance with corporate timetable, with comprehensive analysis for efficient senior  management review
  • Delivery of all required audit (both internal and external) documentation and ensuring full and effective compliance with SoX requirements
  • Management of reporting to customers and resolution of queries in an efficient and systematic fashion
  • Develop a close and efficient relationship with the Revenue Risk team, ensure productive input and relevant escalation for their consideration
  • Responsible for implementation of a team structure and process design delivering a standardised revenue recognition process which is both scalable and can be readily deployed across departments, business units, and new acquisitions to deliver an effective and efficient revenue recognition measurement process
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, as well as wider team through the direct reports
  • Manage, develop & strengthen the directly reporting Supervisors

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA
  • Prior experience of shared services and/or management of a diverse multiple customer base
  • Prior experience of team management and development, preferably including management of staff located in remote offices, multiple and diverse customer base as well as multi-layer management
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / SEC Requirements
  • Oracle Financials, Revenue recognition experience desirable but not a pre requisite
