Our client, a leading multinational, is recruiting on a permanent basis for a Revenue Accountant. This role has come about due to the continued growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Working in the Finance team, you will provide expertise and support to Finance, Operations, workflow and commercial departments in terms of revenue and work in progress recognition, valuation and collections
  • Responsible for validating weekly/monthly revenue figures and achieving reporting timelines
  • Responsible for assuring work in progress valuations including reconciliation to own and clients records and systems
  • Responsible for reporting and driving targets in the collection of work in progress
  • Responsible for completion of an aged work in progress reconciliation project currently ongoing with 4 direct reports

Requirements

  • Detailed understanding of accounting guidelines for revenue recognition
  • Similar experience in construction/utilities industry would be helpful
  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant
  • Project Management Experience
  • Hands on people management experience essential
  • Min 3-4 years practical experience

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Work effectively with team members – internal and external to department and organisation
  • Strong and confident communicator both written and oral with good interpersonal skills
  • Good excel, powerpoint and reporting skills
  • Oracle/Maximo experience would be helpful
  • Attention to detail, strong problem solving and  analytical skills
  • Proven focus on continual improvement
  • Deadline driven and results focused
  • You will possess the energy, enthusiasm &  flexibility to successfully work with other team members in analysing, understanding and working to improve the systems that underpin financial reporting
