This role is a full-time role based in Dublin and will require a small amount of travel.

The candidate should be a qualified accountant with 7 years PQE in an insurance company. This role will give the successful candidate access to understand all aspects of a growing insurance entity and work with stakeholders from the across the business.  The ideal candidate will be coming from a GENERAL INSURANCE background.

Responsibilities

The main areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Control environment
  • Overseeing day to day finance operations
  • Financial Reporting
  • Business performance and analysis
  • Solvency II

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum 7 years PQE in insurance
  • Experience preparing Board reports, analysing data, assisting strategic decisions within an organisation
  • Experience preparing/reviewing SII QRTs
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent written, numerical and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player with a capability of working on own initiative and willing to help other areas of small team when required
  • A confident approach and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people including regulators, legal advisors, outsourced partners and senior management within the business
