Our client, a leading PLC, is seeking a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their North Dublin team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the preparation of internal and external financial reporting of budgeted, forecasted and actual Group results, which accurately reflects the performance of the group for the period of 15 months.


  • Providing leadership and direction to the financial reporting team to ensure they are engaged, focussed, developed and delivering to their potential
  • Producing insight and commentary for monthly consolidated financial reporting to be circulated to the Group executive and Board of Directors in line with the Group’s reporting timescales
  • Preparing the Group financial statements and disclosures for issue to stock exchange and assist with the preparation of the annual report
  • Managing the external audit engagements of the consolidated and group financial statements to ensure that the Group audit is successfully completed
  • Researching technical accounting issues to provide advice and guidance on the appropriate accounting treatments, for current and emerging issues, which ensure that the Group’s financial position is maximised and aligned to the financial objectives
  • Maintaining group consolidation system, dealing with user queries and liaise with outsourced vendor for support to ensure users are able to accurately report financial information
  • Establishing and maintain a streamlined, system based solution which enables the efficient co-ordination and consolidation of Group statutory financial statements
  • Managing end-to-end projects /change implementation within well-defined timelines and budget covering all facets of implementation


  • Certified Chartered Accountant, with extensive post qualification experience
  • Strong IFRS knowledge
  • Intermediate/advanced user of Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, understand and resolve a wide range of finance issues
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities, with a determination to achieve specific goals
  • Liaise with people from different divisions and organisations, so a strong leadership presence and ability to communicate effectively is essential
