My Client is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join their team on a contract basis, with salary starting at €90,000 pro rata.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the preparation of all consolidated reporting and the management of the financial shared service function of the group. The Group FC shall ensure that sub ledgers are accurately maintained and closed on a timely basis and that the shared service team support the Business Controllers in the month end close process.
Responsibilities
Group Reporting:
- Manages calendar & cut-off of sub-ledgers in order to deliver the managements accounts on time
- Prepares the consolidated management accounts for the group
- Prepares all SSC management accounts & manages the Central Office & SSC recharges across the group
- Manages the centralization of all group information e.g. premises register etc
- Prepares consolidated Exec dashboard
Shared Service Centre Team Management:
- Manages the shared service teams to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all internal reports
- Manage & develop the SSC team leads and ensure roles and goals put in place for all SSC staff and have regular reviews
- Put KPI’s in place for the SSC team, cost of handling invoice, no. of invoices proceed per FTE, % of credit notes issues, etc
Audit & Statutory Accounts:
- Acts as lead point of contact for the auditors
- Maintains template for Annual Financial Statements and issues to BC’s for preparation of company financial statements
- Prepares holding company consolidated financial statements
Tax:
- Manage group CT returns & co-ordinating to maximise tax efficiency
- Monitors group tax compliance across the group
Cash Management:
- Prepares cashflow for SSC and consolidates cashflows prepared by group BC’s
- Manages central cash sweeping process
- Prepare quarterly bank reporting and projected position at quarters end
Systems & Process & Projects:
- Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation of information
- Inducts and integrates any acquisitions into the group reporting structures
- Lead and/or be part of business enhancement projects
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with experience working in a group role and managing staff is essential
- Energetic and self-starter with ability to use initiative to build new structures and processes
- Experience working in a transformational role would be advantageous
