A multinational Software company based in Dublin City Centre are currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join their team for an exciting, dynamic and multifaceted role.

The Financial Controller will take ownership of a number of different entities and manage each from a finance, tax and treasury perspective, with full support from the wider finance team. In a nutshell, the role will involve monthly management accounts, financial statements, ERP implementations, and tax dealings.

Candidates must be qualified accountants with 2-5 years PQE and experience within a multi-entity environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report on the full cash cycle for investments and transactions
  • Co-ordination and preparation of audit files and statutory financial statements
  • Analysis and reporting of monthly Profit and Loss account movements
  • Full ownership of balance sheet control and reconciliation
  • Management of treasury activities
  • Responsible for internal valuation reporting
  • Responsible for statutory filings (Statutory Accounts, VAT, Statistics returns, etc.)
  • Involvement in group consolidation process
  • Lead ERP implementation activities for your responsible entities
  • Deal with internal and external audit queries
  • Collaborate with our in-house technical account team to resolve technical account queries
  • Work with local and globally based Finance team to drive systems change and process improvement initiatives
  • Finance aspects of merger, liquidation and dissolution of entities
  • Work on projects and tasks with local Finance, Tax, Legal and Treasury teams as necessary

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with one of the recognized accounting bodies
  • 2 – 5 years post qualification work experience – experience of audit processes, management reporting and PE funds would be an advantage
  • Technically adept and conversant with various GAAP including US GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in using Excel and Word (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc.)
  • Solid and reputable track record of preparation of month-end management accounts for significant trading entities of the business
  • 2.1 degree or equivalent preferred (but not exclusively) from an Accounting/Business background
  • Attention to detail, focused with strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and a self-starter, tracking priorities and actions is a core competency expected
  • Ability to work independently and provide communication on status and tracking of priorities
  • Experience working in a Corporate Service Provider background a plus
