Our client is a market leading insurance company based in the City Centre. They have an immediately opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their finance function for a 6 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a number of large clients to include accounting, reporting and analysis of results
- Contribution to preparation and reconciliation of quarterly management accounts
- Liaising with a portfolio of clients in relation to quarterly reporting
- Assistance in preparation of Group memos and Board reports
- Assistance in completion of quarterly and annual Regulatory Returns
- Financial reporting and related filings of a number of small Irish non-regulated Entities
- Assistance in preparation of IFRS financial statements and related disclosures
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures
- Other duties as may be deemed suitable from time to time
Requirements
- Technically strong qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience (ACA or ACCA)
- Reinsurance an advantage
- SAP knowledge an advantage
- Proven ability to adapt to change & learn new tasks & systems quickly
- Quality focused and meets deadlines on time
- Proven ability to work in a challenging & busy environment
- Solution focused individual with strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to take ownership of responsibilities
