Our client, a global aircraft leasing company, are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing company. The role is based in Dublin and is a full-time, permanent position with a salary guided at c.€55,000. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the Aircraft Leasing industry. Ideally candidates will be ACCA/ACA qualified with hands on financial accounting experience.


  • Preparing monthly management accounts and management reporting pack including single entity accounts and consolidation of group SPV accounts
  • Preparing quarterly and annual group reporting packs in line with Group template
  • Preparing annual financial statements at group and single entity level under IFRS
  • Responsibility for the statutory audit process at group and single entity level
  • Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process and performing variance analysis on budgeted v actual
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations including maintenance of the bank accounts
  • Ensuring all tax filings, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting is completed in accordance with regulatory and deal requirements
  • Reviewing new lease, loan and transaction agreements
  • Liaising with external auditors and internal teams regarding the accounting treatment of new deals
  • Performing annual/bi-annual impairment review of assets in line with IAS 36
  • Development of a robust financial control framework for the company
  • Assist with the tax compliance and accounts preparation
  • Other various ad hoc reporting and modelling projects


  • Hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA), post-qualified experience ideally gained in financial services
  • Prior experience in the audit or accounting function of Aircraft Leasing or SPV entities would be a significant advantage
  • A strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), GAAP and financial and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • A thorough understanding of accounting standards and ability to apply them in practice
  • Candidates from a “Big 4” background with exposure to financial services will also be strongly considered
