My client, a well-known distribution company based in the City Centre, are looking for a part-qualified Financial Analyst for a highly commercial and analytical permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • This role will initially involve the development of a new in-house ERP system by working alongside a qualified accountant to assist with this migration. Once this system has been fully automated the role will be more focused on the ownership of sets of accounts and fully managing these end-to-end
  • We are seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering first class customer service, both internally and externally, and who has strong experience in calculating, analysing, interpreting and communicating sales and profit margin information and providing relevant and accurate information for business decision-making

Requirements

  • An honours diploma or degree in business studies and studying towards a relevant accounting qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales analytics or product costing role in a commercial environment
  • High level of numeracy combined with excellent business analysis, interpretative, report writing and communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel, word & powerpoint skills.  Some proficiency with Microsoft access would also be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including documentation of standard operating and change management procedures for the sales support department
  • Self-motivated individual with passion for first-class service to internal and external customers
  • Well organized, flexible team player who can manage multiple tasks and work to high standards, sometimes under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
  • Commercially astute, with ability to communicate and work with others at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills supported by strong administrative and business analysis skills.  Strong attention to detail
  • A calm logical approach to solving problems, even sometimes without prior knowledge
  • Capable of working in a methodical and thorough manner and comprehensively documenting work processes, change management procedures and policies
