Our client, an innovative pharmaceutical company based in West Dublin are hiring a full-time, permanent Bookkeeper who will oversee all the day-to-day internal operations of the company. This is a role in an exciting, innovative company, with strong progression opportunities for the right candidate. Salary has been guided at €35,000 DOE.

The Bookkeeper will report to CEO and the Board of Directors and work with other management. This person should have excellent bookkeeping, organisational and communication skills and be able to work well under their own initiative and be able to apply previous experience in their management and communication of internal operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and maintenance of proper auditable accounting records
  • Providing assistance with full secretarial and executive administration services to the CEO
  • Coordinating on-site and off-site meetings and corporate events and making arrangements for printing, conference call facility, and distribution of information for meetings, etc
  • Managing calendar requests as directed by the CEO
  • Working with the CEO and the management team s to ensure that the business is compliant with tax and accounting and company law compliance responsibilities
  • Working with our team of external advisors (accountants, lawyers, company secretaries)
  • Preparation and completion of Ad-hoc business review reports for the Principals as required
  • Management and communication of any bespoke internal projects which may arise from time to time
  • General services consistent with high-level management of our business
  • Managing the day to day internal operations of the Dublin office including:

– Overseeing the administration of the office functions
– Providing regular financial and internal operational progress updates regarding the Company
– Managing “in house” enquiries and queries
– Providing internal decision-making information to support the business whilst they are working on location or traveling away from the office
– Management and development of internal processes
– Being the initial point of contact for the office

Requirements

  • A suitable bookkeeping or accounting qualification
  • 5 years’ experience of working in a bookkeeping position in an office environment, experience in managing and working with colleagues across time zones and jurisdictions is preferable
  • A candid, organised and excellent communication skillset
  • Experience in the management and ancillary administration of an office environment
  • Experience of being an executive assistance and engaging directly with Board members
