Our client, a growing start-up based in Dublin City Centre, are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious candidate for a permanent position reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations.

Ideal candidates will have approx. 3 years’ experience in a similar role, and be part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or be the final stages of completing their exams. Strong knowledge of month-end processes are essential. This is an exciting opportunity for development in a fast-growing business and will provide long-term opportunities for progression.



  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation and recording of invoices, POs and payment of suppliers
  • Preparation of monthly bank, credit card and supplier reconciliations
  • Record all transactions in accounting system (Sage)
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable processes to facilitate timely reconciliation, with any queries resolved quickly and effectively
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments for management accounts
  • Support the preparation of statutory returns (Vat, PRSI, Duty)
  • Manage petty cash, company credit cards and Pay Pal account
  • Process internal Purchase Orders and employee expenses
  • Assist with Audit work and budgeting/forecasting
  • Work with US-based outsourced finance provider to ensure timely and correct compliance with filing requirements
  • Prepare financial and management reports on a monthly basis
  • Ad-hoc projects as required


  • Support the Head of Finance & Operations with investor updates, commercial contracts, legal, HR, and recruitment functions
  • Fulfillment and tracking of B2C orders
  • Administration of employee expenses in efficient and co-operative manner
  • Track employee vacations and vacation pay
  • Manage/record software subscriptions and hardware purchases internally
  • Some level office administration work including monitoring and replenishing various office and kitchen supplies



  • Part- or fully-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant
  • Minimum of 2 years similar experience
  • Team player who also works well independently who takes initiative and works constructively to achieve team goals
  • Strong IT skills and strong MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • An ability to question and improve processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentational skills with an ability to handle queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Process-orientated with excellent attention to detail
  • A self-starter with a highly motivated attitude, as well as a strong desire to understand and add value to the business
